Website Privacy
This statement describes how this research study website handles visitor privacy. It is separate from the informed consent form, which governs how survey data are collected and protected.
Site Purpose
This website (bohlerresearch.org) exists solely to help potential participants learn about this doctoral research study, review eligibility criteria, and access the survey. It is an informational companion to the study, not a data collection instrument. No research data are collected, displayed, or exposed on this website.
Data Collection
This website is composed entirely of static HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files. It contains no forms, no user input fields, no login or registration mechanisms, no cookies, no analytics or tracking scripts, no pixel tags, and no server-side processing. The researcher does not collect, store, or have access to any personally identifiable information — including names, email addresses, or IP addresses — through this website.
Third-Party Resources
To ensure that visiting this website does not transmit visitor information to third parties, all resources are self-hosted. Typography (DM Serif Display and Outfit) is served from the same domain as the website itself rather than from an external content delivery network. No requests are made to Google, Facebook, or any other third-party service when you visit this site.
The only external link on this site is the survey link, which directs to SurveyMonkey. Clicking that link is a voluntary action governed by the informed consent form presented at the start of the survey. SurveyMonkey's own privacy practices are described in the study's informed consent materials and research protocol.
Hosting & Security
This website consists entirely of static files (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and font files). There is no database, no server-side application code, no content management system, and no backend processing. The site does not generate, store, or process any visitor data.
This site is served exclusively over HTTPS using TLS encryption. This ensures that the connection between your browser and the web server is encrypted in transit, preventing interception of page content by third parties.
The web hosting provider may generate standard server access logs as part of routine infrastructure operations. These logs, which may include IP addresses and request timestamps, are maintained by the hosting provider in accordance with its own data retention policies and are not accessible to, collected by, or used by the researcher. The researcher does not have access to hosting-level server logs and does not use any log data for research or any other purpose. Visitors concerned about IP address logging at the infrastructure level may use a VPN or the Tor browser.
Study Data
This website is not the data collection instrument for this study. Survey data are collected through SurveyMonkey, a separate platform with its own security and privacy infrastructure. The protections governing survey data — including anonymous response configuration, the two-platform architecture separating recruitment from data collection, and data retention and destruction procedures — are described in the study's informed consent form and research protocol, which have been reviewed and approved by the Walsh College Institutional Review Board (IRB).
Visiting this website does not enroll you in the study, does not constitute participation, and does not result in any data being collected about you by the researcher.
